Details

The Inter-American Society of Philosophy and the Philosophical Society of Uruguay invite researchers, teachers, and other actors linked to philosophical activity to the 19th Inter-American Congress of Philosophy and the 5th Congress of the Philosophical Society of Uruguay, to be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, between Monday, December 2 and Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The event's purpose is to present and discuss research products in philosophy and related disciplines, both regionally and internationally. In addition to the contributions in presentation format, experienced speakers in various thematic areas will participate, and thematic workshops and book presentations will be held.

In keeping with the spirit of previous editions, the congress aims to receive contributions from all areas and currents of philosophy that maintain conceptual and expressive clarity and intellectual rigor.

The modality of attendance at the congress will be exclusively in person, with live transmission available only for the plenary conferences.
